Polycera hummi Abbott, 1952

The background colour is a translucent brownish-grey scattered with black or dark brown dots. The smal papillae, gills and rhinophores are translucent grey brown. The elongatepapillae have three characteristic colour bands (blue -yellow-blue).

Polycera hummi feeds most probably on Bugula bryozoans.

Very similar is Polycera aurisula.Polycera aurisula is smaller than P.hummi and the bands are never close together.
