The offspring of Porites fontanesii are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Porites fontanesii, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Porites fontanesii, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.
Benzoni & Stefani, 2012
Very special thanks for the first photo of Porites fontanesii to Dr. Francesca Benzoni and Dr. Fabrizio Stefani.
This coral was found in the Red Sea, Yemen, Djibouti, in the Golf of Anden, the Golf of Tadjoura and at Socotra Island in a depth of 3 to 15 meters.
Actually there are not informations about a successful reefkeeping.
