Bornella calcarata Mörch, 1863

Bornella is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolidiform nudibranchs in the family Bornellidae. This is a monophyletic genus.Their biology is mostly unknown, except that they seem to feed exclusively on hydroids.

Body translucent to opaque white with a reticulate pattern of orange or orange-red. Similar in shape to other species of the genus ans swims by lateral flexion of the body when disturbed. Grows to at least 50mm long.
