We are very gratefull for the photos then juvenile Anampses lennardi provided to reeflex.net by Cynthia DeLillo, Quality Marine & Aquatropic. Los Angeles, USA.
Anampses lennardi retains much the same color characteristics as it ages from female to male. Lennard’s Tamarin is endemic to western Australia.
Adults are found from the surge zone to at least 24 m. They occur singly or in pairs. Feed on small invertebrates
Classification: Biota > Animalia (Kingdom) > Chordata (Phylum) > Vertebrata (Subphylum) > Gnathostomata (Superclass) > Pisces (Superclass) > Actinopterygii (Class) > Perciformes (Order) > Labridae (Family) > Anampses (Genus) > Anampses lennardi (Species)
Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
