Antillogorgia bipinnata (Verrill, 1864)

Colonies up to 60cm and nearly as broad, usually growing in a single plane. Primary and secondary branches bear short, stiff branchlets about 2.5-4.0 cm long and 1-1.5 mm in diameter. These paired branchlets extend from the branches at regularly spaced intervals, 4-10 mm. Colour is purple to violet, occasional bright yellow to whitish. Antillogorgia bipinnata inahabit moderate to deep, clear water patch reefs.

Nach dem Einsetzten ist sie 2-3 Monate lang so gut wie gar nicht aufgegangen und wurde immer wieder von Schmieralgen überwuchert die ich dann immer mal entfernt habe. Seitdem steht sie wie ne 1 und wächst bei zusätzlicher Fütterung recht schnell. Sie hat jetzt angefangen an ihren Ästen neue Triebe auszubilden die locker 2-3mm am tag wachsen. Ist an sich einfach zu halten, wird jedoch ziemlich schnell vernesselt und es sieht so aus als ob sie an den Stellen dann abfault. Verletzungen heilen schnell und Ableger habe ich auch schon erfolgreich gemacht.

Steht bei mir in Bodennähe (daher Mittellichtzone) bei mittlerer und abwechselnder Strömung.
Sehr einfach in der Haltung.
Keine Zufütterung nötig.

Ich besitze eine 40cm große Gorgonie. Es sind bildschöne Tiere. Nach dem Einsetzen hat es nur ein paar Minuten gedauert und sie hat all ihre Polypen geöffnet.Meiner Meinung nach gut zu halten.
