Very special thanks for these fantastic microscopic images of Symbiodinium thermophilum cells to Prof. Dr. Joerg Wiedemann, one of the scientist, who discovered these hot temperatures resitant zooxanthelles from the Gulf of Arabian and the Gulf von Persian Gulf.
These zooxanthelles tolerate tempertatures up to 93,2 and 96,8 degrees Fahrenheit, a chance for corals in the Great Barrier Reef?
