Dinoplax gigas is a large chitons (size at least 17 cm).The colour is grey or brown.The leathery girdle is greyish or brown, with black spots and short hairs.
This Giant chiton is nocturnal,hides during the day under rocks,or partially or totally buried in sandy bottom.Dinoplax gigas can be found to a depht of 5 m.
Chitons are algae grazer.
