Tyrinna evelinae have a translucent white mantle covered with orange-red spots. In some animals the spots are of similar size all over the body, in others the spots around the margin are much larger than those in the middle of the body.
Tyrinna evelinae can be found under rocks along with algae and sponges.
Very similar is the similarly coloured Tyrinna nobilis. Tyrinna nobilis lacks the orange spots on the middle of the mantle, between the gills and the rhinophores.Tyrinna nobilis occurs in the cold waters of the southern part of South America.
