Aldisa sanguinea (J. G. Cooper, 1863)

This red nudibranch have one or two dark spots in the dorsal midline which look like the oscula of sponges.Aldisa sanguinea feeds on the orange sponges Ophlitaspongia pennata and Hymendesmia brepha.The egg ribbon laid on a spiral on the sponge is orange and well camouflaged.

Aldisa sanguinea can be found to about 10 m.
