Info

(Randall, 1994)

Fusigobius inframaculatus lives on sandy bottom areas and depressions in seaward reefs in a depth of 2 to 30 meters.

The body is semi-translucent with small orange spots, and 4-5 large internal blackish blotches and rectangular white marks.

Synonymised names:
Coryphopterus inframaculatus Randall, 1994

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
