Info

Bolinopsis infundibulum (O.F. Müller, 1776)

A widespread species of comb jellyfish. Found in all temperate zones. Comb jellies are not jellyfish, so they do not have cnidocytes. They feed on zooplankton.

Bolinopsis infundibulum is vertically oriented, cruises upwards or downwards with the help of the cilia and the mucus-covered mouth lobes.
