Crepidula fornicata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Crepidula fornicata is typically found attached to shells and stones on soft substrata around the low water mark and the shallow sublittoral. American slipper limpet is often attached to the shells of mussels.

Crepidula fornicata is a non-native species. It is known to have been introduced to Europe in association with oysters imported from North America over 100 years ago.
