Tricellaria inopinata d'Hondt & Occhipinti Ambrogi, 1985

The Pacific coast of North America is the original distribution area of Tricellaria inopinata. This bryozoan came to Europe by transport on ship hulls and the import of shellfish. It was first reported in Belgian waters in 2000,since then the species has become a common inhabitant of harbours in Europe.Tricellaria inopinata is an invasive Species.
