Tergipes tergipes (Forsskål in Niebuhr, 1775)

The body is translucent white with red markings on the sides of the head and behind the rhinophore bases.The cerata are swollen with white tips.

Tergipes tergipes is common throughout European waters, but frequently overlooked because of its small size ( 6-8 mm).

Tergipes tergipes feeds on Hydroid of genus Obelia , especially Obelia geniculata.
