Description:
Encrusting to branching, sometimes over one metre across. Branching is primarily upright. Corallites are circular, up to 4-5 millimetres diameter but are occasionally linked in a series. Budding is extratentacular. A paliform crown is present.
Colour: Light brown or blue-grey.
Habitat: Rocky foreshores up to 35 metres deep.
Abundance: Uncommon.
Similar species: Schizoculina africana
