Info

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!

Hello,

To me, this fish shown on the photos is more Acentrogobius nebulosus than Y. criniger.

As comparision with these 2 photos on fishbase:

www.fishbase.org

and

www.fishbase.org

You can clearly see on the 2 pics in Reeflex than the specimens shown have significative spots on the tail (sign for A. nebulosus) and not the clear stripes of Y. criniger.
Plus, but it's not that clear on the phoos, A. nebulosus have a more slender and long head.
