Type locality Sakinaw Rock, Sechelt Inlet, British Columbia, Canada, depth 20 m.

Polyps heigh to 1,5cm, colony 20cm in diameter.

Color: snowy white

The nudibranch Ziminella japonica feeds exclusively on Similiclava nivea.
