Hamopontonia physogyra Marin, 2012

Hamopontonia physogyra is a partner shrimp that lives commensally with the bubble coral Physogyra lichtensteini. The species name “physogyra” also refers to its host.

The type locality for scientific description is the Great Barrier Reef and Lizard Island.
