Leander paulensis is a shrimp that copes well with quite large water temperature differences.

The shrimp comes from the Boothia Peninsula, the northernmost area of mainland Canada, where water temperatures average around 12° Celsius, to the very warm waters of the Caribbean, which average around 27° Celsius.
