Anemonia natalensis is a small and very interesting mobile sea anemone that attacks and eats octocorals.
It has a distinctive and seemingly constant color - red or orange with white stripes - and is easily recognized in the wild.
The upper surface is plum-colored with pale lines that transition to the 70 - 100 cream to brown tentacles.
The anemone reproduces by cloning.
Synonym: Korsaranthus natalensis (Carlgren, 1938)
