Trujący lub jadowity! Bardzo niebiezpieczny! Zachowaj ostrożność w obchodzeniu się z nim!

Info

Aseraggodes macronasus has been observed on sand or sand and rubble substrates near or within coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba, northern Red Sea.
The Gulf of Aqaba extends to Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

During the day, the sole usually hides in the sand, is active at night, and may move from sandy areas to rocks or coral.
However, when disturbed, the flatfish quickly retreats to the sand.

Habitat: sand, boulders and reef bottoms.

Annotation:
In a number of internet sites it is stated that ALL species of the genus Aseraggodes are poisonous, this assumption is not scientifically confirmed!
Clark, E., and George, A. 1979 described two species which are poisonous, these are: museumsvictoria.com.au , page 212
- Pardachirus marmoratus from the Red Sea
- Pardachirus pavoninus from Japan

Dr. Sergey V. Bogorodsky also confirmed that Pardachirus marmoratus has a skin toxin, see www.oceansciencefoundation.org , page 13.

Randall and Melendez (1987) found that Aseraggodes bahamondei secreted a milky-white substance from the edges of its body when collected on Easter Island. They demonstrated that this substance is toxic, as it caused the death of three individuals of the tidewater goby Kelloggella oligolepis.
scholarspace.manoa.hawaii.edu , page 253.

It is correct that some Aseraggodes species can cause ciguatera fish poisoning in humans through consumption.
