Galathea aequata Macpherson & Robainas-Barcia, 2015
These variable small galatheids are common on lagoon reefs and in the Kwajalein reef quarries. They all possess a small dark spot surrounded by white just above the base of the claw.
The name "aequata" from the Latin aequatus, equality, in reference to the similiraty with Galathea mauritiana.
