Euplica festiva (Deshayes, 1833)
Snails of the family Columbellidae are active, crawling snails that live in a variety of habitats. Most species live on hard substrates, on the underside of rocks, or on algae, but some species also crawl in the sand of seagrass beds.
They are unusual among advanced gastropods in that some species include both plant and animal material in their diet.
Species that feed on seagrasses are grazers, consuming diatoms, sponges, and other animal life on the seagrass leaves, but also ingesting plant material.
Carnivorous species are also known to include other mollusks, polychaetes, crustaceans, and ascidians in their diet.
