Diplosoma virens (Hartmeyer, 1909)

he tropical Indo-Pacific didemnid ascidian Diplosoma virens (Hartmeyer) has small blob-shaped colonies in which the zooids are arranged around a central common cloacal cavity.

The prokaryotic green alga Prochloron sp. (Prochlorophyta) is found in symbiotic association with colonial didemnid ascidians that inhabit warm tropical waters in a broad range of light environments.
