Sypharochiton sinclairi (Gray, 1843)

As the species name suggests, the surface of the girdle in this chiton has a pattern of overlaying scales resembling snakeskin.

Sypharochiton sinclairi with a blue girdle is a species of molluscs in the family Chitonidae. It is native to New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone. Sypharochiton sinclairi form shallow marine sediments. It is a grazer. It has sexual reproduction.

Similar to Sypharochiton pelliserpentis.
