Scolopsis bimaculata Rüppell, 1828

Scolopsis bimaculata is a less well known and not very common species about which even the tspecial literature only offers scented information.This species lives in coastal waters and isusually found in coral reefs or sandy or muddy bottoms close to the reef.

The fish has a pale brown-grey colouring in the upper half of the body, the underside is silver-white, just below the back, and slightly above the lateral line there is an elongated black spot.

Scolopsis bimaculata occurs in its habitats solitary or in pairs.
