Marionia species are perfect camouflaged with many bushy gills of the body.

Marionia kinoiis orange to brownish red with a netlike pattern over the dorsum. Rhinophores are orange.

Marionia kinoi feeds on octocoral genus Carijoa.

The name M. "kinoi" refers to the explorer and cartographer Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino (1645-1711).
