The ground colour is brown.On the mantle are white and brown various sized spots and 30 dorsal ridges diagonal to the mantle edge.Because of the the diagonal ridges this species looks like a leaf.

Sea snails of the Familiy Arminidae generally eat soft corals and sea pens.It is often seen burrowing in sand.

Dermatobranchus diagonalis often found on Clavularia inflata, their prey.
